The Latin@s Gaining Access to Networks for Advancement in Science Office, L@s GANAS, seeks a social media and marketing intern for the fall semester or entire 2018-19 academic year. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone interested in digital media communications, social media, event planning, graphic or digital design, academic affairs and student success initiatives (higher education), and social or community psychology. The duties will be assigned to maximally benefit the student’s educational goals.
This internship is unpaid but could be structured to meet the requirements of an honors college activity or a for-credit professional internship program in the major or degree-granting college, with an advisor’s approval.
As an intern, you will work with the L@s GANAS office 6-8 hours per week to find and publicize research and creative engagement opportunities for undergraduates as well as help organize, publicize and assess the impact of in-person events in comparison to online events and resources.
If you are interested, send an email to Veronica Arreola at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: L@s GANAS STUDENT INTERNSHIP. Include in your email your name, major, anticipated graduation date, your reason for being interested in the position and a brief summary of related courses or work or service experience you have, and the times your schedule would allow you to work on this internship. Please attach a resume including your Twitter and/or Instagram handles. Students will be contacted until the position is filled.
